Archaea Is both a Domain, and a Kingdom. Here, in this column, we shall talk about the Domain. Archaea is like bacteria, but unlike bacteria, archaea live in extreme environments, like the bottom of the ocean floor, of in a geyser. Bacteria live in "normal" environments.
Archaea, also known as Archaebacteria, was found in 1973, is a relativity a newly discovered kingdom in fact, you never knew it but it is all over the place,in your boiling water you use to cook your boiled eggs, or mac & cheese, or in the ocean. A large display is found in Yellow Stone National Park! That was were the First Archaea was found.
What is This?
Archaea is a prokaryotic organism, which means in English, has one cell. That means it has no nucleolus (the cells cells "brain").
