WHERE: Space, West Berlin, and East Berlin.

WHO: U.S, U.S.S.R, Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, Explorer I, Sputnik I, and Michael Collins.

WHY: The U.S. and U.S.S.R. realized how important rocket research would be extremely beneficial to the military.

The Russians were winning the race after sending many things into orbit, so, the U.S. sent three men to the moon. Neil Armstrong landed first and said, "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."
