Red Hot Chili Peppers

(AKA: the best band known to man)

Brief History

Red Hot Chili Peppers was founded in 1983 by Anthony Keidis, Hillel Slovak, Flea, and Jack Irons. It began as a small group of friends playing local gigs in Los Angeles, but turned into something much larger. Jack Irons and Hillel Slovak only saw Red Hot Chili Peppers as a side project to What is this?, so they left to focus all their time on it. Slovak and Irons were replaced by Jack Sherman and Cliff Martinez. In 1984, Jack Sherman was fired, Cliff Martinez was fired and replaced by Jack Irons and Hillel Slovak was brought back into the group, yet, unfortunately, Slovak passed away of a drug overdose in 1988. Shortly after Hillel's death, Irons decided to leave the group so it was up to Anthony and Flea to find ones to fill their shoes, and that they did. John Frusciante and Chad Smith filled in as replacements as stayed as such for the next two albums. John Frusciante had begun a drug habbit and left the band because the newfound fame was too overwhelming for him. After being in rehabilitation and being replaced by Dave Navarro for an album, he was back in the group and better than ever. Red Hot Chili Peppers went on to produce several albums. From then on, John has left the band to work on his own musical career, Josh Klinghoffer took his place, and they've made one album since then.

The currency of Red Hot Chili Peppers is FGR's (Funk Guitar Riffs), where each minute of playing is equal to 1 American dollar. Red Hot Chili Peppers is a mixed economy, hasving an even distribution of decision making power between the citizens and the government because the main reason the Red Hot Chili Peppers made music was to just be joyful and spread their love for art. This economy shows the peace created between Red Hot Chili Peppers and their fans, just as the government shares with its citizens. This economic system works with other countries in the way of trading or buying goods/services and playing music together as a tradition of the countries' friendship, which also gives the citizens a live chance to learn more about their country's history.

Red Hot Chili Pepper speaks and writes in English but includes slang and a small bit of surfer-dude accent used in Los Angeles (birthplace of founders). The significance of the language used to the overall culture is that it is unique to the location of the founding of the country. Los Angeles, in the 80's, was very struck by the influence of music of all kinds and people of all kinds. The founders, being a few of those people, decided to make their country's official language one that represents their home. Although, at times, this language may be hard to understand, it is essential to the culture of Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Creative Expression

Of course, in the culture based off of Red Hot Chili Peppers, the most popular form of creative expression is through music, funk rock to be specific. Whenever someone moves to the country, they are given either a guitar or bass guitar and are taught how to play it. It is a tradition that you gather with friends on the first Saturday of every month to jam with them. The livelihood of our country is very peaceful and sublime due to everyone being huge fans of the same music. We all get along because of this reason and love sharing music with one another, just as Anthony Keidis, Flea, John Frusciante, and Chad Smith do.
