About Autumn Graves
Autumn Graves is an educational professional who is currently working toward her doctorate in higher education managment at the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education. Most recently, she was the president of Girard College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a boarding school for 500 children from first to 12th grade, all coming from families struggling with issues related to poverty. In this position, Autumn Graves directed a staff of 190 and a $21.5 million operating budget and maintained relationships with three collective bargaining units, support staff, teachers, and house parents. Mrs. Graves also served as president for the Girard College Development Fund, a separate nonprofit that garners support for the college through gifts from individual donors, foundations, and corporations.
Autumn Graves earned her BA in rhetoric and communication studies from the University of Virginia. She graduated from the Teachers College at Columbia University with a master’s degree in educational administration with a focus on private school leadership. She also holds a certificate in fundraising from the New York University School for Continuing and Professional Studies.
