James Madison was a political theorist, American statesman, and the fourth President of The United states. He helped draft The American Constitution, and his nickname for that was "Father of The Constitution." In 1789 Madison became a leader in the new House of Representatives. He worked closely with George Washington to organize the new federal government. He then entered an election to be President of the United States. He won the election and he became the fourth President of the United States. He went into office in 1809. He was president until 1817. He died soon later in June 28, 1836.
