Leonardo Da Vinci

Vinci, Italy

Da Vinci was born to a wealthy family in Vinci, Italy. His father, Piero, was a wealthy notary of Florence, while his mother, Catarina, was a peasant.

Da Vinci was well known for his elaborate designs and inventions for his time and for the future. From the crossbow, the diving suit, and to the design for the machine gun Da Vinci did it all.

In addition to his inventions, Da Vinci is most famous for his paintings: Mona Lisa, and Last Supper

The shocking thing about Da Vinci is that he self taught himself most of what he knows. Da Vinci never attended public school, but rather used his fathers scholarly texts to learn.
