Hello, my name is Shukia Powell I am a consultant and educational trainer who has over 4 years of experience with creating training and curriculum for small businesses. I have developed instructional design regiments for companies both in-house and via e-learning. I am a corporate/business educator, who  develops training and core curriculums for companies in various industries. I have worked extensively within the Legal, Social Services, Entertainment and Financial industries. I work closely  with developers, business analysts, end users, subject matter experts and clients to ensure that the curriculum is based upon the user requirements for their daily tasks. I possess proven exceptional communication, diagnostic, technical and presentation skills.

I am the Co-owner of Mobley consultants, I lead a great team of trainers, SME's, developers and business analysts together we design unique quality training programs tailored to meet the needs of our clients. Our main goal is to introduce interactive tools to companies and exhibit how the tools can be utilized within social media platforms. 

Training sessions:

This training will be conducted over the course of 3 days and will run in increments of 2 hours each, there will be a 15 minute break at 10:45 - 11:00 for the first training session and 1 hour for lunch for the first two days of training. On the last day of training you will receive one 15 minute break.

Objective:

Upon completion of this training you will be able to successfully complete the following:

  • Identify 5 of the Best Social Media Tools used in small business
  • Know how to utilize each tool within the social media platforms
  • Understand how each tool can benefit your company's growth

Training Agenda

Day 1

Module 1: Infogr.am - A designing tool that allows you to design charts and infographs. The tool is user friends and a breeze to use to create a infograph simply upload a picture add some data to create something unique and beautiful. You can also create responsive charts by selecting a chart type,  uploading data from Excel or edit the data within one of the preexisting charts and make it your own. Infogram do not require prior knowledge of graphic design or coding, they are fun to make and can be shared on social media platforms.

  • Ask basic questions about the tool to ensure everyone has an understanding of what is being taught (group participation)

Module 2: Paper.li - A content curation tool that allows you to collect information  from twitter, website, pictures, and video  to create newspapers and newletters and share with others on social media platforms. The tool is easy to use it takes two steps, just create your title, punch in keywords of items you want to search, wait for you newspaper to generate and share.

Duration: 2 hours

Explain how to create a newspaper using information from social media outlets to share with your followers, visit paper.li  and see how items are created, guide trainees through the process on how to create papers using paper.li , conduct group discussion on paper.li to see if all trainees have an understanding on what is being taught.

  • Create your own newspaper using paper.li
  • Share your paper.li project with the group

Day 2 of training

Module 3: IFTTT - A powerful web service tool that allows you to create tasks/recipes by setting up IF, THEN statements (triggers) between  websites and applications (channels) The tool is easy to use, just create an account and select your applications,  enter the instructions on how you want the two applications to work with each other and your done.

Duration: 2 hours

Module 4: Canva -  A design tool that allows you to design posters, business cards, Facebook and Twitter covers and more by simply searching, dragging items  to the canvas (workspace) and saving your creation. The tool is easy to use and your creations can be shared on social media platforms.

    Day 3 of training

    Module 5: Powtoon - A amination presentation tool that allows you to create videos and animated presentations. Creating is simple just log in,  choose from a template of slide from the library or start from scratch, you even have the option of editing existing slides.  Insert text, character(s) you want to use, pictures you have saved in your library and you can also add voiceovers. Once your done  save your presentation and share on Youtube.
