Thurgood Marshall

"seperate but equal"

Thurgood Marshall was born in Baltimore,Maryland on July 2,1908. Thurgood died in Maryland on January 24,1993. He went to school at Howard University where he studied law.  He was the first African American to be justice in supreme court. A few months after Thurgood's death, newly inaugurated president Bill Clinton awarded Marshall the presidential medal of freedom, the highest civilian honer.

Thurgood was a scholar at his high school. Marshall was at the top of his high school. That's when he decided he wanted to go to Howard  University to study for law. After he finished collage he became a supreme court justice. Bill honer him because he was a giant help in the civil rights movement.
