Background Information: David Walker was born September 28th, 1785 in Willmington, North Carolina. His father was a slave but his mother was a free woman. He inherited his mother's liberated status and was free also. Furthermore, he moved to Boston, Massachusetts to get away from slavery in North Carolina. While in Boston, he successfully owned a second hand clothing store.

Accomplishments: Walker created a pamphlet to go against slavery and discrimination. Also, he sewed his pamphlets into the linings of sailor's clothes to spread the word of ending slavery.
