The Moon's Role

The moon is very important to the Earth. Thanks to the we have the moon phases, tides , and eclipses. The tides are spring and neap. There are eight different phases. The eclipses are solar and lunar.

There are eight different phases of the moon. One is New Moon, Waxing Crescent, 1st Quarter, Waxing Gibbous, Full Moon, Waning Crescent, 3rd Quarter, Waning Gibbous. The only reason we have the moon phases is because of the Sun and Earth.

There are spring and neap tides. They occur because of the Moon phases. They affect us by having less water .

The moon is very important because without it we would never be able to see at night.
