Forum of Trajan
Construction for the Forum of Trajan started in 106 A.D. by, and for, Emperor Trajan. The construction process lasted about 6 years, ending in 112 A.D. Concrete was a main material used for the bases of the buildings and monuments in the Forum of Trajan. Since concrete looked plain, Emperor Trajan decorated the outside of the buildings with expensive imported colored marble to display the wealth that Rome had.
