The way it applies to their literature is because the way asians can start to act when they immigrate to America or americans immigrate to their countries. When they move to America, they will tweak their traditions to fit to the resources they have here or so they are seen as strange to Americans.

The literature would honor and challenge their culture and traditions in literature by maybe writing a story about an old folk tale, and Americanization would challenge these traditions by keeping the same story but changing it a little bit.
