Beau Gumbert - Kappa Sigma Brotherhood

Xi Chapter has over 220 undergraduate members and thousands of alumni. Our fraternity is full of members dedicated to principles of leadership, scholarship, fellowship, and service. This fraternity is known for its track record in winning awards for outstanding grades, numerous philanthropies, community events, and a house full of campus leaders.

The chapter prides itself on being the biggest and brightest on campus. They begin each year with many goals in sight with an Award of Excellence by University Greek Life always being our top priority. This award embodies all that is important in the Greek Community.

The currently active Xi Chapter of Kappa Sigma Fraternity lives by this principle when reflecting on their 117-year history of excellence. They pursue merit in all aspects of like while remembering the more than 3000 brothers who have preceded them. Their ascent from the humblest of beginnings in 1890, with a pledge class of only five men, to their standing today as the largest, most successful Fraternity at the University of Arkansas. This pledge has endowed their membership with a richer heritage of success, brotherhood, and creation.

Compassion Blankets For Grieving Families

The Fort Worth Miracles Foundation is a group of North Texas students who aspire to make a difference in the lives of others and have a positive impact in their community. They provide grief-stricken families with a Compassion Blanket. The blanket is a personalized heirloom tapestry with the image of a loved one woven into the fabric. Each Compassion Blanket has a unique likeness and is custom-made for each recipient.

As a young boy growing up in Fort Worth, two of founder Beau Gumbert's best friends tragically lost their fathers and faced the struggles and challenges of life without dad. Beau says he can still remember the sadness and emptiness in his friends' eyes and hearts, and his sense of helplessness. We spend our time and energy making sure these families are helped by our support.
