About Bernadette Camacho
For nearly 10 years, Bernadette Camacho has worked as an educator in the state of New York. After earning a bachelor’s degree in political science and secondary education from Lehman College, Ms. Camacho accepted a position teaching high school social studies. She then went on to earn a master’s degree in secondary education while teaching in hard-to-staff-schools as part of the city’s Teachers of Tomorrow program. After serving as a bilingual social studies and American history teacher at several high schools in Bronx and Queens, Bernadette Camacho decided to pursue further advanced education and training.
While working part-time as an executive assistant at Forrest Inc. in Seaford, New York, Bernadette Camacho recently completed a graduate degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) at Mercy College. She also just obtained a master’s certification in special education at the College of Saint Rose. At present, Ms. Camacho is completing master’s degree coursework in TESOL at The New School in Manhattan.
Aside from work and school, Ms. Camacho is an avid reader and theater fan. She also enjoys practicing hot yoga, cross training, and jogging.
