Bethany Kludt - Taking Advantage of the Day
Bethany Kludt is a young woman who loves being outdoors. She has been participating in BMX bike racing events since she was barely able to walk, and she also enjoys fishing and occasionally golfing. Too often members of the younger generations have an attitude towards the outdoors that is borderline disdainful. They would rather stay inside playing video games or monitoring social networking sites instead of engaging in boring activities such as playing in the yard or going on a hike.
Bethany Kludt is a breath of fresh air, in this regard. She is an ambitious young student at Ohio Northern University who wishes to be a nurse one day. She hopes to use her skills as a nurse to help out both her family and community. In 2014 began competing in bikini competitions hosted by the National Physique Committee; she has finished in 3rd place in one such event and placed well in the other over the course of her short career. Participating and finishing in these events has required an enormous amount of cardio exercise, disciplined portion control and weight lifting on Bethany Kludt's behalf.
Her immense discipline and determination have been evident as she balances work and school with her personal ambitions. She knows that becoming a Bikini Pro in the National Physique Committee will require years of lifting, nutrition and working out, but is happy to keep it as a side ambition as she works towards getting her nursing degree. She knows that regardless if she becomes a pro or not, she will reap the many benefits of maintaining such a healthy lifestyle.
Bethany Kludt - The Merits of Volunteer Work
Bethany Kludt, a student at Ohio Northern University, is a very compassionate individual. She enjoys spending time with her family more than anything else, and is also a member of Miamisburg Christian Church. She is concerned with homelessness, animal rescue, and the healthcare crisis. It is her hope that one day she will be able to use her skills as a nurse to make a difference in the world. She is a big fan of charitable activities, in general, as she sees them as a great opportunity for personal growth. Of course, the community being helped is affected immediately, but she believes that the volunteer is benefited greatly as well. In BMX she has raised money for leukemia research in the Race for Life and raised money for the Bob Warnicke fund.
One reason that volunteering is a positive experience for the volunteer, says Bethany Kludt, is that it gives you a greater connection to your community. With greater connection comes a greater awareness of events that will directly affect you and your family, which in turn helps you make better informed decisions. Another reason that a greater connection with your community is a good thing is that it allows you to form friendships and business relationships with more people in your community. Having a friendly social circle is an important part of being happy as a human. Also, a business network has a profound impact on the success of your career.
Volunteering is a good experience for the participant, continues Bethany Kludt, because it gives you a great sense of satisfaction. You are able to create something through your own labor that is greatly appreciated immediately. It is healthy for a human to feel appreciated and to feel included. Bethany Kludt looks forward to more opportunities to make a difference in her community.
Eat Right for a Better Life
To maintain healthy organs and an optimally working body, you must eat the right kind of food that will provide the "fuel" your body needs. A balanced diet is necessary to provide the energy and nutrition your muscles, bones, and internal organs need to work optimally. Without a balanced diet, your immune system suffers. Thus, your body is more susceptible to fatigue and diseases. The United States Department of Agriculture reports that many of the chronic diseases are a result of poor diet.
Here's why you need to eat healthily.
A diet that comprises the required diet of veggie, fruits, whole grains and proteins can help you maintain or lose weight. Eat more nutrient-rich foods, such as whole-grain cereals and vegetable proteins.
Control blood sugar
The sugars found in refined foods cause blood sugar to spike irregularly. Eating too many sugary foods puts you at risk of developing diabetes. Replace sugary foods with organic vegetables and fruits that will help regulate your blood sugar.
Better heart health
Foods with processed fats can lead to high cholesterol levels in the body and plaque build-up in the arteries. Plaque is particularly dangerous for your health, as it can result in cardiovascular diseases. Healthy fats found in foods like avocados and nuts can provide your body with the "healthy" kind of fat.
Vitamins A and C are essential to keeping skin healthy and strong, especially against infections and cuts, and strengthening your bones and teeth.
As a nursing student currently working to complete her studies, Bethany Kludt knows good nutrition is vital to a healthy life.
Why is the number of homeless people on the rise?
In America today, as many as 3 million people are homeless. A third of this figure constitutes young children living on their own or with family without a place to call home.
While the general stereotype is that most homeless people are thrust into the life due to mental illness or drug addiction, studies show that many people become homeless after a life changing event or series of events. For the vast majority, an unplanned situation happened that may have led them to be homeless.
Events such as the loss of income, a loved one, domestic violence, dysfunctional families, and mental illness are among the top reasons for homelessness. Other impairments like physical disability or post-traumatic stress disorder can also contribute to being homeless. It is also not uncommon to find people resorting to the street as a way to deal with grief. Often unable to cope with significant trauma in their lives, some people will give up on life and stop caring. Acknowledging that a myriad of factors can push people to the streets is often a good way to start figuring out how to help people.
A homeless person is one who has gone through deep emotional pain and suffering. By the time they show up to a homeless shelter for help, they’ve probably burned every meaningful relationship they’ve ever had. Close friends and family are unable (or unwilling) to give a hand, leaving the individual to fend on their own. In some ways, their situations are more about being unwanted than being homeless. Restoring trust and hope then becomes a big factor on the road to recovery.
Bethany Kludt is studying to become a registered nurse at Ohio Northern University. She is a kind-hearted person who loves to help people and hopes to use her career to aid the homeless in her community.
Adopt a pet from a shelter today
Are you thinking of taking in a pet into your family? If you are, congratulations for adding a loving member to the family who will liven up the place. Often, the best place to find a pet is the local animal shelter. They have plenty of animals, so you can be sure to find a companion you love.
When you take in a pet from an animal shelter, you are giving a second chance to an animal that deserves it. Additionally, you are helping to reduce the pet overpopulation issue that the nation finds itself dealing with. The reality is that millions of unwanted pets are euthanized at local shelters every year. While some are beyond help (old age or overly aggressive behavior), many come to this end merely because they lacked someone to adopt them. Reducing the number of euthanized animals can be decreased if more people choose to take in pets. Adopting saves a life and opens up shelter space to an animal that could use it.
When you choose to adopt from the local shelter, you'll be getting a good bargain. Often, the animal has been vaccinated and spayed/neutered. This cost is part of the adoption price, which means you don't have to worry about these procedures.
Most importantly, caring for an animal can provide the sense of fulfillment and purpose you may be looking for. At any age group, isolation and feelings of loneliness can creep up, and the best way to lessen these feelings may just come from adopting an animal in need.
Bethany Kludt is a nursing student who also loves animals. She’s concerned about the growing number of animals finding their way into shelters, and advocates for the humane treatment of all animals.
Bethany Kludt - BMX Bike Buying Tips
In the last couple of years, the quality of BMX bikes has steadily improved. These days the bikes that come out of a box come with very good parts and are of great quality which was not the case several years ago when I started racing. However, you will need to know what you are looking for before you purchase a BMX bike. Here are some tips you can use when buying.
Know What You Want
There are bikes designed for different types of riding, so you will need to know what you want before going out and buying a BMX bike. Though you can ride most bikes on any terrain, there are certain factors that determine which bike is best for certain types of riding. If you are not sure which bike you want, you can ask the local bike store for assistance or better yet, ask a racer to go with you. Salespersons at bike stores usually have little or no knowledge on the subject.
Steel or Chromoly
Two types of materials are normally used for less expensive BMX bikes. The frames, bars, and forks are made from either steel or chromoly. Steel is slightly heavier and less durable than chromoly. The amount of chromoly used on a bike will determine its price range. Chromoly is much stronger than steel and some higher end BMX forks, bars and frames are made using this material.
Make sure you choose the right size, even a fraction of an inch could make a huge difference. You can choose from many top tube lengths. You might want to check the height and width of the handlebar before you buy the bike. A good idea would be to test-ride the bike before buying it.
Bethany Kludt started racing BMX leagues in 1998 at the age of 4.
Bethany Kludt - A Very Active Young Woman
Bethany Kludt is a big believer that keeping yourself busy is an important facet of happiness. It is when people sit around too much lamenting about their current situation that they slip into a cycle of unhappiness. This is why she has been very active for most of her life; so that she can establish healthy habits that will carry her through the future.
At the age of three, she began doing gymnastics, a sport she stuck with through middle school. When she was four, she began riding a BMX bike and participating in races on a regular basis with her father Bill Kludt. To this day, Bethany Kludt enjoys taking her bike out for a spin to find peace and relaxation. She did cheerleading when she was in 4th and 5th grade on a competition team in Miamisburg, Ohio. When she reached high school, she decided to pick up golf and diving. She still golfs whenever she has a chance to play a round, and she believes that the virtues she learned through the difficulties of golf have translated to other areas of her life.
Now a college student, Bethany Kludt is majoring in nursing. In 2014, she began competing in NPC bikini events, an endeavor that requires an immense amount of cardio training and weight lifting. As a college student, she is balancing her school, work, and personal duties masterfully. She is the type of person who is always out of breath but never tired. Family and friends truly find her determination and perseverance to be a great inspiration. She is also an individual who is very concerned with helping those in her community, and she believes that the skills she learns as a nurse will prove useful in this endeavor.
Importance of gymnastics for young children
Gymnastics is a developmental sport that has a positive impact on a young child's life. While some parents might question how being able to do backflips and handstands impact one's life, it's important to note that gymnastics goes beyond just focusing on physical development. It can be the perfect sport to teach the skills necessary for a healthy life and better social, creative, and decision-making skills.
Obesity is a growing concern in America today, and the consensus is that the earlier children get involved in physical activity, the better. What better gift to give your child than to encourage an active lifestyle at a young age? The movement and physical skills taught on the gym floor can translate into a lifetime of physical activity. Due to its reliance on body weight, gymnastics often produces athletes who are very fit and have strong cores.
For most children, interacting with the environment is an essential aspect of growing up. Gymnastics helps to instill better coordination and awareness skills so that children can relate better to the environment around them. Additionally, the chance for their child to develop social skills is one that parents can't pass up. Young gymnasts learn how to wait in line, give others a chance to speak, make decisions on their own, and pay attention to instructors.
When all is said and done, kids stand to benefit greatly from participating in gymnastics. It may be a difficult sport, but the child will learn early that achieving progress in life comes from hard work and dedication to excellence.
Bethany Kludt is a talented gymnast who started the sport at the age of three. Gymnastics paved the way for participation in other sports, and she’s grateful her parents allowed her to engage at an early age.
Weight Lifting 101
If you want to build your muscles, weight training or weight lifting is important. However, if weight training is not done properly, it can cause more damage than good. It is impossible to list all the things you should do in weight lifting, but these few tips can help you get started and build up your body.
Without a plan, you will most probably fail. Every book on weight lifting has something different to say, so which ones do you follow? Everything you read in books is correct, but just that you cannot follow it without a plan. Set up a 12-week plan and break that up further in 3-week blocks. Incorporate different types of training for each mini-block and work with it for the 12-week cycle. The variation in exercises will help target different parts of the body and build muscle.
Maintain a journal of your exercises, and you will have a record of your progress. If you do not maintain a journal, you will have difficulty in seeing progress. There are many apps you can use to journal what exercises you did at the gym, the amount of weight used and the number of repetitions for each set. The journal will serve as a guide as you increase the weights and reps as the weeks progress. The journal also helps you to set goals.
Most people at the gym lift weights at a fast tempo; one second concentric (raising) and one second eccentric (lowering). Slow down your tempo and vary it as you train. By increasing the eccentric tempo, you will increase the time under tension and cause the muscles to become stronger and adapt to more stress.
Bethany Kludt lifts weights regularly at the gym and strives to keep physically fit.
Simple Advice for Gymnasts
Gymnasts need to work hard to keep their form and fitness levels up. Watching a gymnast perform is a pleasure, especially when the moves are perfectly executed. Though gymnasts have to put in a lot into training, there are a couple of simple tips you can use to become a better gymnast.
You Are In Control
As a gymnast, you must realize that you are in control and your gymnast career is totally up to you. The way you train your body will directly affect the way you perform your moves. If you find you are tired with your floor routines, then you must work on your endurance at home or the gym. Though your coach can guide you, it is totally up to you what moves you want to try.
Take a Break
Training is hard work, and it is important but there are times you should take a break and relax. There is only a limit to which you can push yourself, so make sure you take a break and enjoy the sport. Don’t push yourself to the point where you become so tired that you can’t perform your routine.
Injury and Rest
Never try to hide your injuries just so that you can show up for practice. Be open to your coach about your injuries and rest if needed. It is bad to try and workout with injuries, you will only make it worse.
If you find that your coach is not the best fit for you, change your coach. Do not feel afraid or bad about changing your coach or gym for that matter. If you are unhappy with your coach, find a new coach and move on.
Bethany Kludt started gymnastics from the age of three.

Bethany Kludt – Tips for the First Day of Waitressing
Bethany Kludt is a nursing student. To pay her way through college, she works at a restaurant and bar as a waitress. This is her second job as a waitress, having previously worked at a restaurant elsewhere. Here are a few tips for the first day of being a waitress.
The most important thing that a new waitress should do on the first day is show up on time, or even better, show up early. It is important to make a good impression on not only the boss but also the new co-workers. Working in a restaurant involves a lot of teamwork. Everyone depends on each other at one point and new waitresses need to get off on the right foot with their colleagues. Showing up late shows indifference and disrespect to the job. These are bad first impression to leave with new colleagues, especially in the serving industry.
Regardless of how experienced a new waitress is, it is still important to listen to the trainer. Not every restaurant operates in the same way and new waitresses need to pick up the flow of the restaurant quickly so as not to slow everyone else down. Trainers should be taken seriously, even if the new waitress has ten years with of experience serving at restaurants.
New waitresses need to be ready to take on some of the grunt work. The new employees are always going to have to take on the job that others hate doing. This could be filling condiments, restocking napkins, preparing linens, placing silverware and glassware, and much more. New employees have to go with the flow and pay their dues. Everybody was new at one point and there will be more new people in the future to take up the grunt work.
New waitresses are going to experience their colleagues being hard on them, especially when the make mistakes. This is, unfortunately, a part of the business and is in large part due to the fact that most people in the restaurant industry rely on tips. If the new person makes a mistake, gets in the way of someone else table, or do something else at another person's expense, this is most likely going to be met with a snide remark. Take these remarks in stride, learn from your mistakes, and try not to take anything personally. This is an unfortunate aspect of the business.
Lastly, new waitresses have to know their schedule. It is going to look really bad if they miss training or do not show up for a shift. This puts a burden on everyone else at the restaurant and they will most likely not have that person come back.

Bethany Kludt – Tips for First-Time Bikini Competitors
Bethany Kludt recently began competing in bikini competitions via the National Physique Committee (NPC). In August 2014, she finished third in an NPC collegiate bikini competition in Louisville, Kentucky. She is a health conscientious person who enjoys weight lifting, maintaining her fitness, and taking care of her health. Deciding to join bikini competitions was a big decision, but is one that she does not regret. Here are a few tips for first-time bikini competitors.
- Before first-time competitors sign up for a competition, they need to establish their purpose for competing. Wanting to win is not a good enough purpose because there are a lot of variables involved in the outcome of the competitions, such as the preference of judges. The purpose for competing should be something more personal like wanting to lose weight or building your brand as a personal trainer.
- First-time competitors need to do research on bikini competition organizations. NPC, INBA, and WBFF are a few organizations that are well regarded. First-time competitors should look up the rules and regulations of each organization’s competition and choose an organization that suits them best.
- First-time competitors should consider attending a local show or competitions before signing up to compete. This will give them an idea of what is expected at shows, how they operate, and who their competition might be. It may also help them choose the right organization. They should attend a few shows and determine which organization puts up the best show in terms of production value and exposure.
Bethany Kludt would like to become a Bikini Pro with NPC however it was a bucket-list item to honorably compete. To become a pro would take a lot of hard work, dedication and focus, but she is looking forward to the challenge ahead of her.
Bethany Kludt – Tips for First-time Beauty Pageant Competitors
Bethany Kludt has competed in a number of beauty pageants in Ohio. She competed in the Miss Teen Ohio National American Miss competition and placed in third in the Miss Photogenic competition. She is currently a nursing student, but still enjoys beauty pageants and fitness competitions. Here are a few tips for first-time beauty pageant competitors.
- First-time competitors need to be confident in themselves and what they have to offer to the competition. They cannot focus on what the other pageants are wearing, what they look like, or what they are saying. If they start focusing on and comparing themselves to their competition, negative thoughts will creep in, which can only damage a competitor’s performance. Maintaining focus and being confident in their selves is the best way first-time competitors can approach beauty pageants.
- Making eye contact is very important for first-time competitors to remember. Eye contact shows confidence, and as we know confidence is important. Making eye contact with the judges will forge a connection between them and the competitor. Making eye contact during the interview portion of the competition is especially essential because it shows the judges that the competitors understand and believe in what they are saying.
- First-time competitors need to set realistic goals for themselves. Obviously winning is the ultimate goal, but not everyone can win, especially in their first pageant. It's a good idea for first-time competitors to make other goals like scoring well in specific portions of the competition or making new pageant friends. It is important to feel accomplished after a pageant, regardless of the outcome. Setting different goals helps achieve that.
Bethany Kludt has recently moved away from competing in beauty pageants and is focusing on competing in National Physique Committee bikini competitions and successfully making a career in nursing for herself.
Bethany Kludt – Tips for Eating Healthy in College
Bethany Kludt is a college student. She looks forward to receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing so that she can start her professional career as a nurse. Eating healthy and staying fit is important to her and she works hard to maintain her healthy habits. Eating healthy is not the easiest thing to do in college because of the accessibility of unhealthy foods, but she does her best. Here are a few tips for eating healthy in college.
- It is important for people in the twenties to eat foods rich in calcium because they need to build their calcium stocks to prevent osteoporosis in the future. College students should drink plenty of milk. Low-fat yogurt, low-fat cheese, and green leafy vegetables are good substitutes for milk and have plenty of calcium.
- College students should limit their sugar intake because all sugar does is provide calories with very little other nutrients. Sugar can cause significant tooth decay and it is also addictive. College students can use sugar substitutes such as sweetener, tea, cereal, and diet sweeteners.
- Students should visit the salad bar at their dining hall. The salad bar is an excellent place to get healthy food. Raw vegetables, fresh fruits, and leafy greens are the best kinds of food to get at the salad bar. The salad can also be a detriment and bacon bits, creamy dressings, and mayonnaise salads can be as detrimental as eating fatty foods.
Bethany Kludt competes in National Physique Committee Bikini competitions and sustaining a healthy diet and working out regularly is an important part of succeeding in those competitions.
How Bethany Kludt Trains for Her Bikini Competitions
Ever since she was a child, Bethany Kludt was into fitness. She started with BMX bike riding and then quickly turned to gymnastics and golf. However, it was when she entered college when Kludt find out about bikini competitions. These competitions are a form of physique contests, and the first time Kludt saw a contest, she was hooked.
For Kludt, she admired the strong and feminine physique of these women. Kludt had lifted weights in high school and was in good shape in her opinion, so Kludt decided to enter a local competition.
In the ensuing twelve weeks, Kludt dedicated herself to her studies and her training. Often she would wake up at five in the morning to spend at least an hour if not longer on the treadmill before her classes began. After finishing the days' schoolwork, she would go back to the gym and lift weights. This routine would happen six days a week. During those days, she would train every major muscle group in her body. Aside from the exercise, Kludt would adhere to a strict diet that resulted in fat loss without losing muscle.
At the end of twelve weeks, Kludt was ready for her first competition. She had bought a new competition bikini with some of her money that she made while waitressing and had her hair and makeup done by a friend before the contest. Those ten minutes she was on stage were exhilarating. She had an instant rush of adrenaline when she stood up in front of the crowd and was proud to be competing against such a group of healthy women. Although she did not win the competition, she did win because she was in the best shape of her life. Kludt knew she was hooked. What she had accomplished in the past twelve weeks was astonishing. Kludt loved that feeling of being healthy and being able to push her body to a place where she did not think it could go. She immediately signed up for another contest two months away.
After her second bikini contest, Kludt will have to take a break from the sport. She is studying to become a registered nurse and has to concentrate her time on her classes so that she can graduate. However, she does not rule out returning to bikini competitions once she becomes a registered nurse and can dedicate more time to the sport. For Bethany Kludt, she has found a sport in bikini competition that can cater to her competitive attitude and push her body to a place she had never imagined.
Why Bethany Kludt Does Not Need Drugs or Alcohol to Have a Good Time
For many college students, their weekends on campus involve drinking and trying drugs. Bethany Kludt is not a typical college student. According to her, she has no interest in alcohol or drugs. Growing up Christian, Kludt learned that drugs and alcohol have the power to ruin people’s lives. She had seen this first hand. Through her church, she would volunteer with a program to help troubled youths through the power of God. Kludt would hear first-hand how teenagers destined for great things in life succumb to drugs and alcohol and have their lives ruined. As a nursing student, she also sees patients admitted to the hospital for alcohol and drug-related conditions. She knows how drugs and alcohol can damage a person’s liver and pancreas.
Another reason Kludt does not want to do drugs or alcohol is that it will deter her from one of her hobbies; bikini competitions. For these contests, Kludt has to keep her body fat percentage as low as possible to show off her physique. To Kludt, drinking alcohol will lead to ingesting empty calories that will only ruin her physique and cause her to miss workouts.
While college students take the weekend to drink to excess and experiment with drugs, Kludt will not be in that club. She knows how to have fun without using mind-altering substances. Bethany Kludt does not want to risk everything she has accomplished because of taking these substances.
The Reason Dogs can Improve Your Life According to Bethany Kludt
College student Bethany Kludt has a busy life between studying, and leading a healthy lifestyle. However, she is never too busy for her pet Chihuahua. Kludt has had the Chihuahua for the past several years and credits him with helping her stay grounded. No matter what kind of day Kludt is having, her dog is always happy to see her when she gets home. Spending time with her pet after a long day of work and training helps her to relieve the stress in her life.
One of the reasons Kludt chose to get a Chihuahua over other breeds of dogs is their size. For a person that is on the move constantly like Kludt, a Chihuahua is a perfect pet to have because they fit into a car very quickly or can be carried along in a bag if needed. Yet, the Chihuahua is big enough to take for walks and play games. Kludt also credits her pet as a reason to get outside and go for long walks. Dogs, especially Chihuahuas, are sociable animals, so Kludt is not afraid to bring him to her friends and family or to take to a local dog park to play with the other dogs. Overall, Bethany Kludt is happy with having her pet Chihuahua. He relieves her stress after work and studying and he is a companion that will go anywhere with her and never leave her side, no matter the circumstances.
Why Bethany Kludt Thinks all Women Should Compete in One Beauty Pageant
Bethany Kludt is a nursing student and a bikini contest competitor. When she was eighteen she competed in her one and only beauty pageant. She believes that every girl should compete in at least one beauty pageant in her life.
While a lot of people dismiss beauty pageants as parading females around for people to judge them, Kludt thinks that pageants can help women reflect on their roles in society and begin to prioritize what they want out of life.
While some people think the different wardrobe changes turn females into life-sized Barbie dolls, Kludt believes that this experience teaches women what kind of clothes flatter them the most. In her opinion, women can take these fashion options into their personal closet. If a woman walks out of the door in an outfit they are proud of, they will be more confident and assertive, which can lead to promotions or more respect from their colleagues.
There is also an interview portion to pageants, during this time Kludt thinks that women begin to analyze their opinions on the major issues that are affecting people today. This moment of self-reflection can shape a women’s thinking and make her a more respectful and tolerant person. Kludt knows that competing in beauty pageants is not for everyone. While some people think that these pageants should be stopped immediately, Bethany Kludt believes that when women participate in one pageant, they will begin to think about themselves and their roles in society that will help them advance in their careers or their other life goals.
