1. Ginger Root: Chew on ginger root for upset stomach. It is a stomach calming agent and reduces gas, bloating, and indigestion.

Now stomach aches and pains are easily cured with pepto-bismol or taking Tums chew able tablets.

2. Castor Oil: Take a table spoon of it once a year before flu season to prevent colds and the flu. It comes from the castor seed Ricinus Communis which has a very unusual chemical composition.

Now the flu can be prevented by vaccines.

3. Honey&Tea: Drink honey and tea to treat colds and sore throats. It soothes a sore throat and is a cough suppressant.

Now cough medicines such as Robitussin are taken in order to treat colds.
