What was life like in the trenches?

Have you ever wondered what life was like in the trenches during WW1? Trench life was very hard in WW1, for example they only got 1 hour of sleep at a time. Also, they got many dieseases such as, trench fever and trench foot. Many of the soldiers got life, so to partially fix the problem they shaved their heads. They also had chores to do like refill the sandbags and mend the duckboards. When they did have a break from this harsh lifestyle they would play card games and write letters.

How did the soldiers communicate with their leaders?

Have you ever wondered how the soldiers would communicate with their leader back in WW1? There are many ways that soldiers communicated with their leaders such as, strap notes to pigeons feet and radios. Similarly , they would strap letters on dogs collars and send them to their leaders. They would also, use radios and telegraphy to communicate. They would communicate with tele-nets, and they would use a range of channels too
