Castle’s New Talking Points Will Woo Cumbrian Brides

Damsels yearning for a fairytale castle wedding, but not knowing how to arrange or afford their dream wedding experience, have been rescued by Langley Castle’s creation of ‘Starting and Finishing Point’ ideas inspirations, plus a totally unexpected package – an exceptional and rising star chef, who can add his inimitable touch to the happy couple’s wedding breakfast.

The four-star luxury time-capsule castle, nestled in Northumberland, close to Hexham and Hadrian’s Wall and its rich Roman heritage, also has a vibrant history linked to Bonnie Prince Charlie. The stunningly decorated and restored castle, which oozes quality and finesse the moment a guest drives up its sweeping drive, is renowned for its exceptional weddings and unique backdrops for bridal photography, but now has other temptations on offer between its seven-foot walls.

To demonstrate its ability to create talking points at any wedding, but within a realistic budget at the same time, it has devised four ‘Starting or Finishing Points’ inspirations. Its years of experience in arranging top-notch weddings allow Langley to recognise that many brides and grooms will wish to add other components into their day, the moment they breathe in Langley’s intoxicating ambience and feel the creative juices flowing. For them, the ideas will just be a launch pad.

However, in times of greater austerity, it also wishes to deliver a fabulous package within a budget, for those couples that would appreciate this, but assume Langley would be too expensive a venue for them.

Additionally, there is now the irresistible lure of Daniel Grigg @Langley Castle. Langley’s northeast-born chef has returned to his roots, and become the Castle’s executive chef, having trained under influential and Michelin-starred chefs at venues such as The Samling, in the Lake District.

The precocious talent became a head chef aged just 25 and has been accredited with three red rosettes, by the AA, on more than one occasion. With a Michelin star for Langley in his sights, it is unlikely to take long for Langley and Daniel to achieve their goal – another reason why brides and grooms should book their wedding now.

The four ‘Starting or Finishing Points’ inspiration packages are: The Northumbrian Wedding (from £3300 for 50 guests at a day and evening reception); The Langley Wedding (from £5300 for 70 guests, day and evening); the Baron Wedding (from £6300 day and evening) and the Diamond Wedding (from £14,500 for exclusive use of the castle, for a minimum of 100 guests for day and evening reception). The latter does not include accommodation.

With these new Langley ‘sirens’ to lure the discerning couple, fabulous service from local, Northumbrian staff throughout their day, breathtaking views over to Hadrian’s Wall, stunning, landscaped garden and interior castle backdrops – and even a helicopter landing area – Langley Castle will be one of the must-consider wedding venues for couples nationwide in 2015/16.
