Road Safety: Raising Awareness
Don't put your life at risk; Don't text and drive
Texting while driving makes a crash up to 23x more likely. Do yourself and others a favor by putting the phone away at all times. If you get a text message while driving DO NOT open it, instead focus on the road, the text message will still be there when your done driving. More than 3,000 teens die each year in crashes caused by texting while driving. Approximately 2,700 teens are killed in drunk driving accidents. According to AT&T's Teen Driver Survey, 97% of teens agree that texting while driving is dangerous, yet 43% do it anyway. We need to start making better decisions. The risk is clearly understood, its up to us to make texting while driving a thing of the past. Replying to a text, no matter what, is not worth putting your life at risk.
