About Bill Releford

Prior to beginning a medical career specializing in diabetic foot problems, Dr. Bill Releford earned a bachelor of science from California Polytechnic State University. He went on to earn a doctor of podiatric medicine from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine and to complete a residency at Southwest Detroit Hospital. Upon finishing his residency, Dr. Bill Releford founded his own foot and ankle institute in Inglewood, California, and has since expanded to a second location in Beverly Hills.

Throughout his career, Dr. Releford has continued to contribute to academia through research papers and published commentaries. His article “Necrotizing Fasciitis in the Diabetic Foot” was published in the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Another article, entitled “Cardiovascular Disease Control through Barbershop Outreach,” was published in the April 2010 edition of the Journal of the National Medical Association. As an advocate for healthy living among the African American community, Dr. Bill Releford has published commentaries on the subject in the Journal of Ethnicity and Disease.
