About Boris Brevnov
With experience in management, mergers and acquisitions, asset management, performance turnaround, and strategic planning, Boris Brevnov currently serves as vice president of corporate development of global utilities for the AES Corporation in Arlington, Virginia. In this capacity, he focuses on global strategic initiatives and financial and business plan execution. Previously, Boris Brevnov served as vice president of mergers and acquisitions for the firm, where he managed recapitalization of the global electric storage business while identifying and capitalizing on growth opportunities. He grew the firm’s 11-GW generation and utility business and closed an important acquisition worth $4.7 billion.
Prior to joining AES Corporation, Boris Brevnov spent six years as vice president of corporate development with Integrys Energy Group in Chicago, Illinois. He managed mergers and acquisitions and maintained responsibility for the business performance of a $4.5 billion regional holding company. He also gained experience as vice president of business development and implementation with WPS Energy Services. Brevnov holds bachelor’s degrees in economics and electromechanical engineering, in addition to completing programs at Harvard Business School and London School of Economics.
