Experienced Rheumatologist Dr. Brent Appleton

With more than a decade of experience in rheumatology, Dr. Brent Appleton maintains a respected practice and treats patients with conditions such rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, gout, and tendonitis. For those with conditions managed outside of his area of expertise, such as mechanical and non-inflammatory joint pain, Dr. Brent Appleton recommends they be referred to qualified specialists by their primary care physicians. He currently maintains licenses in eight states across the United States.

Dr. Appleton completed his doctor of medicine at the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Medicine and a residency in categorical internal medicine at the Cleveland Clinic. He was accepted into a fellowship in rheumatology at the Medical School of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and completed the Clinical Research Design and Statistical Analysis program at the same institution. Dr. Brent Appleton has research experience as the director of clinical research with the Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis Program at Gilead Sciences, Inc., in Seattle. He also guided global development of inflammation therapies for Amgen.
