Brian D. Chenoweth is the founder and Managing Partner of the
Portland, Oregon-based Chenoweth Law Group. The firm focuses on civil

Brian D. Chenoweth primarily represents clients in state and federal environmental law, and he advises clients in business and real estate transactions. Additionally, he negotiates complex settlements with agencies. He leverages more than 14 years of experience working with plaintiffs and defendants in environmental law. Specific cases have involved gas stations, dry cleaners, auto-wrecking facilities, ship repair yards, PCB contamination, and gas pipelines. Mr. Chenoweth is also experienced at assisting clients with cases dealing with endangered species, contractor negligence, and property damage relating to chemicals, lead, mold, and asbestos.
Prior to his work with Chenoweth Law Group, Brian D. Chenoweth served as Partner with Rycewicz & Chenoweth, LLP, and as an Attorney with Detlefsen Law Office, P.C., both in Portland. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Oregon and a Juris Doctor from American University’s Washington College of Law, where he graduated cum laude. Mr. Chenoweth supplements his career through memberships with the Northwest Environmental Business Council and the Oregon State Bar Environmental and Natural Resources Section.
