Sometimes I am unhappy with the choices a screenwriter and director make. What have been some of your disappointments in movie/book interpretations?

One of my biggest disappointments was with the scene surrounding the death of a beloved character in Deathly Hallows, part 2. That Harry Potter movie was one of the shortest of the eight films; there would have been plenty of time to do justice to this character's sacrifice and his family's pain. There's no excuse! Y'all who read the book and saw the film know which death I'm talking about because you were angry, too!

I love the Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit; I think the films carried forth the author's vision. It even made some of my favorite scenes more vivid -- like in the first part when the horses are swallowed by the river.
