About Bruce Tough

Born in Burbank, California, Bruce Tough moved to the Houston, Texas area in 1968. He earned a bachelor of science with honors from the University of Houston and a juris doctorate from the University of Houston Law Center. Upon his move to The Woodlands, Texas in 1996, Bruce Tough won election as a director on the Woodlands Community Association Board of Directors. In his 11 years on the board, he served five as president. He also served as chairman of The Woodlands Community Service Corporation and as president of The Woodlands Fire Department. Bruce Tough has been serving as chairman of The Woodlands Township for the last three years and was recently elected to serve another two-year term.

In addition to his civic contributions, Mr. Tough serves as principal of his own law firm. The Lone Star College System, Montgomery College, recognized his firm with the 2010 Small Business of the Year Award.

Beyond his work with The Woodlands Township, Bruce Tough enjoys spending time with his wife, Diana, and four daughters, Sydney, Abby, Tara, and Madison.
