Who is he?
Louis Armstrong was not only a caring, creative, and talented man, but he is the best Jazz player in the History of Jazz. Armstrong was born in August 4, 1901 in New Orleans, Louisiana. In 1912, he was arrested for firing a gun in the air in New Year's Eve because he was disturbing peace. From 1922 to 1924 Armstrong was a member of King Oliver's band in Chicago, Illinois the most popular Jazz band of all time. Until he decided to go solo in the Jazz industry.
One year later, Armstrong began his Top 5 Albums list known as the "Heebie Jeebies", "Potato Head Blues", and "West End Blues". He also played in several parts of movies and took two trips to Europe. In one of his concerts Armstrong angrily cancelled his concert on what he saw as American racist behavior particularly in the South in regard opposition to school desegregation. In 1947 he returned to his small band roots and continued playing music until his death in 1971 with the hit of "Hello Dolly!". People today still often listen to Louis Armstrong, and cherish his Jazz music.
