Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter and actress. She was born in Wyomissing on 13 December 1989. She later moved to Nashville at the age of 14 to pursue a career in country music.
Her father, Scott Kingsley Swift, is a Merill Lynch financial advisor; her mother, Andrea, is a homemaker. She put the daughter on saddle when she was only nine months and she later competed in horse shows.
One of Swift's earliest musical memories is listening to her maternal grandmother singing at church. During early adolescence, Taylor Swift spent her weekends performing at local festivals, fairs, coffeehouses, karaoke contests, garden clubs, Boy Scout meetings and sporting events.
At the age of 11, after many failed attempts, Swift won a local talent competitions. In Tennessee, she attended Hendersonville High School; later, Taylor transferred to the Aron Academy, a private school which offered homeschooling services. She earned her high school diploma in 2008.
Swift then began to explore the music of older country stars, including Loretta Lynn and Dolly Parton, but many artists outside the country genre, like Britney Spears and Avril Lavigne, influenced Taylor's music.
I like this singer because she has a really nice, sweet voice and she has made some exciting songs with good lyrics. In particular, I like her style. While some time ago she made only country songs, now she has expanded her music range and has also started singing pop songs.
