Lumbini, Nepal, is said to be Buddha's birthplace. The Dhamekh Stupa is one of the oldest Stupas in the world. Theravada is the teachings of the elders. Mahayana is another form of teaching that is more widespread in Eastern Asia.
Buddhists don't believe in a God. They believe in Nirvana. Nirvana is a state in which there is no suffering, desire, or sense of self. When a Buddhist reaches Nirvana, they are released from the affects of karma and the cycle of death and birth. Nirvana is the final goal of Buddhism.
