Attendance is a universal iPhone/Touch/iPad app (runs on iOS 4.x and 5.x) that allows you to take and keep attendance records. Its main intended use is for teachers to keep track of records for their classes, but it can also be used for meetings and group gatherings. The attendance statuses are completely customizable. You can import names a number of ways including formatted CSV files that you store in your Dropbox account or send as email attachments. You can also import names from an Address Book group or you can enter the names by hand on your device. In response to a few of the reviews, I have updated the Attendance support web page with text describing the various import options and how to use the app. Links to the relevant videos are included along with the text descriptions.
TeacherKit is a personal organizer for teachers. It enables teachers to organize classes, and students. Its simple and intuitive interface enables teachers to track the attendance, grades and behavior of students. Having a teacher's assistant can be handy, but not every school has the budget for such luxuries. But why would anyone need a TA when there's TeacherKit (Free, Universal) ?? This app is a teacher's Swiss Army knife, with tools for classroom organization, behavioural monitoring, and grading. The only thing it doesn't do is teach the class for you.
Flashcardlet is a free, easy-to-use studying application with material for any class or standardized test. You can also create and share your own. It is the best way to study on any iOS device. Other flashcard apps can't handle device syncing, web-editing, large decks, sharing, images, intuitive gestures, or even manage to show nice looking cards. Flashcardlet feels like a real deck of flashcards and does not get in your way. Collaboratively creating and sharing study material does not get easier than Flashcardlet. Everything is automatically kept up-to-date with a Brainscape account. You can also email your flashcard decks or share them using Dropbox. From grade school to law school, Flashcardlet is the perfect studying tool for any subject.
