The Poisonwood Bible

A Family's Story of Adventure and Strife

My Most Memorable Part of the Story:

I was utterly surprised when Ruth May died. I didn't see any foreshadowing that would lead the reader to think that a snake would bite her to cause her death or that she would die at all, but the story was dark at times and the author showed the audience how dangerous the location was. The African jungle was portrayed as scary, but I always have hope that people will turn out alive and well at the end of scary times.
