Short biography of Richard Branson

Born in Surrey, England, Richard Branson had started a company that went worldwide and so successive. Richard had struggled a lot during his school years and he dropped out of school at the age of 16. A decision that ultimately lead to the creation of Virgin Records.
Richard Branson, the founder of Virgin is one of the most successful entrepreneurs and businessmen in the world. An entrepreneur is someone who sets up a business and takes on financial risks in order to earn profit. The virgin group started in a small record shop slowly making its way up into becoming a well know and multinational company. In total he had founded over 400 companies in the virgin group. His success was his first artist in Virgin Records where he recorded his "Tubular Bells" in 1973 along with the help of Branson's team. During that period the record was a instantly popular and stayed on the UK charts for 247 weeks. Branson using Mike Oldfield's (the first artist) accomplishment lead to an expansion on his business. Yet again he made an entrepreneurial effort, in Voyager group, 1980. More profits gained and more companies created, Virgin Atlantic in 1984 + a series of Virgin megastores. But there has been bad times were Branson was suffering from staying financially afloat. However he didn't give up on his music business and success lead to where he is now. Branson now owns over 200 different companies in 30 different countries. He was knighted in 1999 and earned a fortune of £2.5 billion self made.
