Marc Siegel, spa executive, was invited to extensive meetings with Mr. Butch Stewart, the Chairman of Sandals Resorts, Air Jamaica, and ARD to discuss the ability of a Spa to operate profitably within an all-inclusive resort environment. Marc Siegel submitted to Mr. Stewart empirical data demonstrating that guests will bring ancillary funds for Spa services, personal training, retail products and the like, as long as notice thereto is provided on a timely basis to them, prior departure. Upon Mr. Stewart’s intensive inspection, Marc Siegel, spa expert, was engaged to develop, design, and operate a prototype “Royal Spa” at the new Sandals Royal Bahamian Resort and Spa, Nassau, Bahamas.

Marc Siegel, spa’s efforts resulted in a split-level, 9,000 square foot Conde Naste Award winning Spa. This facility propelled the property to the Caribbean’s finest Spa Resort, as determined shortly after opening by readers of Conde Naste Traveler and multiple years thereafter. Additionally, the Spa and the resort accumulated many other accolades and tributes from many periodicals, spa writers, and hospitality experts.

Marc Siegel’s feature elements included a 2000 square foot Fitness Center looking out on the ocean, highlighted CYBEX cardiovascular, strength and human performance equipment with complete supervision and personal training. In addition, a 7000 square foot Romanesque second level dedicated solely to Spa services, related areas, and gorgeous marble and mahogany locker rooms was a stunning attribute. A complete menu of services from Swedish massages to a Thalasso Therapy Bath was available by highly trained professionals.
