Cartuning Events

Lay Low

"Lay Low" is an annualy organised cartuning event in Kortrijk where people with clean new- and oldschool cars meet and take a look at cars from other car enthousiasts. There are a few requirements to enter the event, your car has to have stance and there need to be nice rims fitted to it. Also, there are some restrictions such as the use of LED lights, neon lights and spoilers.

The event contains 750 national and international cars who got selected for the event, food and drinks, music and entertainment. As special act a car-limbo is organised. The winner of the car-limbo is the car that lays the lowest to the ground.

According to my opinion this is a very nice initiative of the city Kortrijk and Vives. By organising this kind of events, people are able to show their personalised car to other car lovers. On this kind of events you see as many beautiful things as well as ugly things.

I love car events like Lay Low and this year too, I will participate in this event. The only shame, according to me, is the fact that participants have to pay 10 (or more) just to put their car on a parking. After all, events like this only get interesting because of the participants who want to show their customized car to the world. If I had to organise a car event, I would try to organise it on the parking of a shopping centre which doesn't cost a penny.
