Working hard to help people & their ideas grow.

Tackk is the latest of many life adventures; from India to Ohio, from advertising to audiobooks, from lingerie fashion shows to internet start-ups.

Born in New Delhi, India  and raised in a large political family in Ohio, I grew up in and around political campaigns. After graduating from Stanford University (1988), I returned to Ohio and helped to found and lead Participation 2000, a non-traditional political action committee designed to train young people.

My experience working on "campaigns" took me from politics to advertising where I spent 15 years in various agencies, eventually serving as president of several firms including Resource (, a national technology marketing firm where I managed offices in Columbus, OH and San Francisco, CA. During this period, I had the chance to play a key role in the e-commerce launch and web fashion show for Victoria's Secret, a project that garnered international attention and was named ADWEEK's Marketing Event of the Year.

In 2004, I became a founder and the first president of FindawayWorld (, whose core product is Playaway, the world's first preloaded digital audio book format. Called a "genius idea" by Oprah Magazine and "the simplest way to get from the bookstore to Chapter One" by the New York Times, our team built Findaway from a start-up idea to a profitable, Inc 500 success.

In 2010, after selling my interest in Findaway, I founded Hatch Partners (, whose mission has been to provide coaching, connections and seed capital to early-stage entrepreneurs. Along the way, I've had the chance to coach or collaborate with a wide range of start-ups and today serve on several advisory boards, including MedCityMedia, Tackk, Movable and others.

While Ohio remains my home base, these days I spend an equal amount of time on Martha's Vineyard building a new cafe/market named for my favorite Kurt Vonnegut character; or tracking one or more of my six young adult children around the country & world; or watching my hometown Cleveland Cavaliers; or writing about leadership and family; or simply walking the dogs with my dear wife.
