Caitlin Franco

Founder of Equality Charter School

As Executive Director of the Equality Charter School, Caitlin Franco draws on her experience with data-driven teaching methods at public and charter elementary, middle, and high schools throughout the northeast to help students achieve academic excellence. Over eight years of overseeing programs, strategy, and operations at a Bronx middle and high school she has developed curricula, built facilities, and acquired educational technologies that have helped the school outperform other Bronx schools in proficiency in math and languages. The result has been a facility that has consistently maintained its status among the top three percent of schools in New York City.

Additionally, Caitlin Franco has overseen the school's community outreach efforts and the establishment of an adult education program that provides opportunities for people who wish to continue learning.

Ms. Franco is an alumna of Harvard University where she earned her M.Ed and Stony Brook University where she earned a BA in English education. Additionally, she holds NYS certifications as a school building leader and in English language arts 7-12. Prior to her current position, she worked as a teacher.
