About Camp Waziyatah
Located in Waterford, Maine, Camp Waziyatah has been welcoming campers and outdoor enthusiasts since its founding in 1922. Sitting on 130 acres of land with a spring-fed lake, Camp Waziyatah was the setting for all 20 episodes of season one of the Disney Channel’s “Bug Juice” TV series.
Camp Waziyatah is a co-ed overnight summer camp that features a unique “kids choice” program. With three sessions in the morning and two in the afternoon, campers are free to choose their own schedule. Among the 40 activities available to campers are horseback riding, swimming, climbing towers and low ropes courses, archery, pottery, jazz dance, and more.
Owned by Gregg and Mitch Parker, Camp Waziyatah’s philosophy is rooted in core values of courtesy, integrity, respect, and responsibility. Approximately 10 percent of campers come from international destinations, as does several of its staff. More information about the camp can be found online at www.wazi.com.
