About Captain David Schnell
Former U.S. Navy serviceman Captain David Schnell presently assists the Americas Commercial & State Transportation Group as the general manager of Los Angeles express lanes. His responsibilities include oversight of complex toll collection technology, commercial vehicle operations programs, and motor vehicle services. Further, Captain David Schnell performs functions ranging from software development to future ops for the company.
Before his honorable discharge from the Navy in 2010, David Schnell acted as a commanding officer for seafaring vessels. From 2003 to 2004, he commanded the USS Ford by attending to the combat readiness and daily operations of the guided missile frigate. Following that, he served as branch chief and executive assistant for the Global War on Terrorism Directorate, a position for which the Joint Staff branch chief for the Weapons of Mass Destruction Counter-Proliferation Division handpicked him.
In recognition of his accomplishments, he earned the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
