Carl Kulungian Built a Career as an International Technical Recruiter

For more than three decades, Carl Michael Kulungian headed technical recruiting services for companies across a broad range of industries. As founder and president of the Woodland Hills, California-based firm CMK International Inc., he oversaw a team that recruited managers and engineers for aerospace projects such as NASA’s Solid Rocket Booster Program and Rockwell Corporation’s development of the B-1 Lancer. Carl Michael Kulungian also recruited personnel for international clients in manufacturing, railroad, offshore drilling, and other industries as president and senior global recruiter for CMK Consulting and, later, King Forbes Ltd. Throughout his career he cultivated business relationships with prominent companies such as McDonnell Douglas, Lockheed Martin, and British Petroleum, among others.

Before beginning his career in professional recruiting, Mr. Kulungian served in the U.S. Navy for seven years, spending two of them deployed as a radio man for a missile-guided destroyer. Upon retiring from military service, he worked as a senior manager in charge of three automotive service stations.

Carl Kulungian also operated the charitable organization God’s House of Hope. Together with his wife, he organized holiday dinners for military veterans, as well as donated Christmas gifts for children receiving medical treatment and foster care.
