About Carrie Carda
In a career spanning over 20 years, obstetrician and gynecologist Carrie Carda, MD, has developed expertise about the negative factors affecting women’s health. Motivated to offer women a broader spectrum of health care that extends beyond traditional western medicine approaches, Dr. Carda entered a master’s program at the University of South Florida College of Medicine to study metabolic medicine and nutrition. In 2012, Dr. Carrie Carda completed her degree in conjunction with a fellowship at the Boca Raton-based American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, where she trained in anti-aging, regenerative, and functional medicine.
Currently practicing at Women’s Health Specialists, P.C., in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Dr. Carrie Carda also holds the position of director of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Anesthesia at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. She was previously affiliated with Southeast OB & GYN in nearby Cape Girardeau. Preceding that position, she served as a staff physician at Library Park Intermediate Care Center in Greenwood, Indiana.
After completing medical school at Ross University, Dr. Carda undertook a combined residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. At St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis, she completed a three-year residency-training program in obstetrics and gynecology.
