Catherine Mirabilio - An Accomplished Culinary Educator
A highly motivated chef and culinary arts instructor, Catherine Mirabilio helps prepare students for careers in the culinary world as post-secondary teacher with a Shelton, Connecticut-based school called the Lincoln Technical Institute. Before establishing herself, she enrolled at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, where she secured her associate of occupational studies in culinary arts. Earlier, Catherine Mirabilio earned her bachelor of science in dietetics and nutrition from the University of New Haven and studied toward her master of science in technology education at Central Connecticut State University.
After completing her education, Catherine Mirabilio gained hands-on teaching experience as culinary arts department head and instructor for the Connecticut Technical High School System. During this period, she supervised other chef instructors, taught classes, and managed the department budget. Later, she accepted the culinary arts teacher position at Woodland Regional High School. Mirabilio’s professional background also includes a stint as food service director with ARA Services, where she hired employees and oversaw its food service operation.
