Cathy Leff - Former Director of the Wolfsonian at FIU
An experienced museum director and currently a senior fellow at Florida International University (FIU), Cathy Leff spent the majority of her career as the director of the Wolfsonian, a museum and research center at FIU. As its organizational head, she provided strategic leadership for the museum and helped shape its curatorial and research agendas. In particular, Cathy Leff worked hard to expand the museum’s global initiatives and partnerships, establish the museum as a valuable community resource, and raise the funding necessary for continued growth. In her current capacity as a senior fellow with Florida International University, she works with university and museum officials to ensure a smooth leadership transition for the new director.
Cathy Leff holds a bachelor of arts in Spanish from the H. Sophie Newcomb Memorial College at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Cathy Leff previously served on the Miami Dade Cultural Affairs Council as a member of Art in Public Places for the City of Miami Beach.
