The Last Supper
By: Mia Martin P.4
On the first day of the Passover, Jesus sent two of his disciples with specific directions on where to prepare the Passover meal. That night Jesus sat with his 12 apostles to eat his final meal before going to the cross. Before he left, he was old that one of the twelve would betray him.
Each of the Apostles questioned this and asked the Lord if they're the one who will do him wrong. Jesus explained to them that his betrayer's fate would be terrible.
Then Jesus took the bread and the wine and asked his Father, The Lord, to bless it. Then broke the bread and gave it to his disciples and said, "This is my body, given for you. Do this in remembrance of me." He then took the cup filled with wine and shared it saying, "This wine is the token of God's new covenant to save you--an agreement sealed with the blood I will pour out for you. I will not drink wine again until the day I drink it new with you in my Father's Kingdom."
