High School English Teacher
Necessary Job skills for being a high school English teacher include having a bachelors degree in education. Some schools require them to have more education in the English/literature aspect. Communication skills are necessary, as well as instruction, writing, and people skills. Creativity is a very important part of this career choice, and it is important to have the ability to engage with students. I have chosen a school in Chicago, that has great benefits and seems to be a great school for what my career choice is.
My Favorite Quote
Necessary Job Skills
"Find something you love and let it kill you." I read this quote a long time ago somewhere, and it stuck with me and meant a lot to me. To me, this means when you find something that you truly love and are passionate about, do whatever you can to improve on that task, and never stop. In my opinion, this quote can have an endless amount of meanings. Someone could read this and imagine a person who drives them crazy in the best way possible. Someone else could read this and think about their dream, and this quote could be that one thing that pushes that person to pursue it. It's all about perspective, really. This, for me, will be used to pursue my career in the future, seeing as it is something I feel that I would enjoy.
My Role Model
My role model is my Mother, because she has shaped me into the person I am today. She has always been there for me, and continues to be there whenever I need her. She is the most supportive woman I have ever met in my life, and her open-mindedness is what makes her so lovable. I truly know that she would support my decision in absolutely anything I decided to do in my life. I feel so incredibly lucky to have a 'best friend' relationship with my Mom. As cliche as it sounds, she has been my role model since I was a little girl, and I hope that I can be at least half the woman she is today.
