CBS Instructional Coach's Corner
August 10 2015
Hello CBS!! I am so excited to be your new Instructional Coach. Let me start by giving you a little background history about myself. I was born in Lubbock, TX, home of Texas Tech University. I was raised in New Orleans, LA where my father is from. I graduated from Oakwood University in Huntsville, AL in 2004 with a B.S in Elementary Education. I received my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Grand Canyon University in 2011. I taught first grade in Madison City Schools for nine years. I joined Cherokee County Schools as a second grade teacher at Cedar Bluff School in the 2014-2015 school year.
I am married to Roderick( Roy) Hart. Between the two of us we have five children that range in age from 22-6 years old! There is definitely never a dull moment. I love reading and different types of music. I eventually plan on rediscovering my love of the piano. I am addicted to all things pinterest and at any given time, when I am not at school, or in a meeting, you may catch me in a therapy session( retail therapy, that is!!)
Being an educator is not just a job for me, its a passion. All things education, light a fire within me, that constantly reassures me that I am right where I am supposed to be. I love people, especially teachers because they have a love for some of the most important people on this planet, our students, our future. As Instructional Coach it is my hope that as teachers at Cedar Bluff School you will let me help you, help our students. Here are some great ways to stay connected with me:
