Yamato Clan and Heian Period
The Yamato Clan (250-710 CE) had a ruler named Amaterasu. The Yamato period was a time in Japanese history when the Japanese Imperial court ruled from modern-day Nara Prefectur. Their culture including influences from Japanese, Buddhism and Shinto cultures.
The Heian Period (794-1185 CE) is the last division of classical Japanese history. It's known as a period in Japanese history when Buddhism, Taoism and other Chinese influences were at their height. The Heian period is also known for its art, especially poetry and literature.
