# Word Problem #18 on Test 4.1,2,3,4,5

### V. Edwards in Mr. Kirkland's Math III Class

The Johnson twins were born one year after their older sister. This year, the product of the three siblings' ages is exactly 4303 more than the sum of their ages. How old are the twins?

First, you need to step up a brace map.

Second, work out the equation.

After you have gotten all the variables on one side and they are equal to zero then type the equation into the calculator and graph it. Then use the table to find when y is equal to zero and the x variable is how old the twins are.

The twins are 16 years old.
