President at Career Skills for Youth
About Charles Modiano
Based in the Washington, DC area, Charles Modiano dedicates his
career to preparing young people for employment. The programs he runs
promote career development, self-sufficiency, and career preparedness by
teaching youths about their strengths and potential. Some of Modiano’s
endeavors, assist people who are transitioning out of the criminal
justice, juvenile justice, and foster care systems. Moreover, he has
offered guidance to locations ranging from medium and large cities to
rural and tribal areas. Since 2005, Charles Modiano has served as
President of Career Skills for Youth Consulting.
Leveraging the direct service, training, and policy experience he garnered at SafeSpace, the National Partnership for Community Leadership, and the Department of Labor, Modiano educates his staff on implementing programs that will benefit youths. Modiano has aided YouthBuild USA, the Education Development Center, TATC, STRIVE Employment, and other TA organizations on improving the future economic opportunity for young people by assisting with college and career oppotunities. Among the topics taught to organizations by Charles Modiano are "Creating a Culture of Achievement in Youth", "Career Readiness TODAY", "Performance Measurement for Staff Who Hate Them", "Assessing Placement Readiness of Programs", and Employer Engagement, placement and retention. Furthermore, he has assisted entities various international work readiness initiatives.
