Founder of Chlorine-
Carl Wilhelm Scheele was the founder of chlorine. He discovered chlorine in 1774, it wasn't until later it was named Chlorine by another scientist Humphry Davy.
- Chlorine is a member of the halogen group
- Greenish-yellow gas that is capable of combining directly with nearly all elements
- Most produced chlorine is used in the manufacture of chlorinated compounds for sanitation, pulp bleaching, disinfectants and textile processing
- Small amounts of chlorine (as little as 3.5 ppm) can be smelled, and inhaling 1,000 ppm for a few deep breaths can be fatal
