Chocolate Chip Cookies

The classic cookie you love


  • 1 cup softened butter (2 sticks of butter)
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp hot water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

First, preheat oven to 350 F.

Second, blend the butter, white sugar, brown sugar until smooth.

Next blend in eggs, and then vanilla extract.

Now, stir the baking soda into hot water until dissolved fully and add to the mixture with salt.

Next, blend in flour and lastly fold in the the chocolate chips.

Drop by spoonful onto ungreased cookie sheets, make sure to leave 1.5 to 2 inches between each spoonful.

Bake for about 8 minutes for each batch. Or until your preferred crispness and brownness.


Feel free to add some walnuts, raisins, anything you want to try into the dough when you're folding in the chocolate chips!
