Supporting Chrysalis and Its Mission
Christian Markey is an accomplished attorney handling all aspects of family law at his own firm in Beverly Hills, California. Beyond the care he shows to clients, Christian Markey is a long-time supporter of several charities and community groups, including Chrysalis, a nonprofit organization committed to providing the resources and support to homeless and low-income individuals to enable them to find and retain employment and achieve self-sufficiency.
There are several different ways individuals can support Chrysalis and its mission. The organization offers a range of volunteering positions, including client services, through which volunteers help clients build various job search-related skills on a weekly basis. Client services volunteers provide one-on-one resume preparation and practice interview support, along with computer lab and GED class assistance. Special project volunteers participate in such things as event staffing and event preparation, while guest speakers teach clients work and life skills. Chrysalis also welcomes corporate support in the form of financial giving and volunteer work.
Donations are another way of supporting Chrysalis. Individuals can make monthly and one-time donations of any amount online. Donations of at least $25 provide one hour of computer training to clients, while larger amounts support other classes and programs. Donations of at least $2,000 a year allow individuals to become part of the Monarch Circle. There are three levels of benefits for the Monarch Circle: the $2,000 level, $5,000 level, and $10,000 level. Each level comes with increasing benefits such as recognition in Chrysalis’ Annual Report, tickets to the Butterfly Ball, or lunch with the organization’s president and CEO.
